Beatphonik are currently holding 2009 auditions for Male Dancers only. We are based in Melbourne, Australia and are only accepting applications from dancers who live in Melbourne or are planning to re-locate within the area.

Please allow 2 days for the Audition process.

DAY 1: First round of auditions
DAY 2: Call backs
DAY 3: Final call backs

Auditions dates & times:
Registration at 3pm on Sunday 16th of November & call backs at 8pm, Wednesday 19th of November

Venue: Unitd Styles Dance Studio, Cnr Chapel St & Brighton Rd, St Kilda East.

What we are looking for:

• Male dancers aged 17 and above (we accept younger applicants if they have an advanced skill level for their age)
• A true 'PERFORMER' with Intermediate / Advanced skills in hip-hop. Must be versatile and able to adapt to any style of dance. If you think that you have trouble with choreography or are not of an advanced level, we still encourage you to audition as we are also looking for dancers who show potential for growth.
• Dancers who think they will still be dancing when they are 50 years old!
• Strong character, works hard and well under pressure. Not for the meek or the faint-hearted!
• Technical training a plus but not essential
• Acrobatic skills and specialists in the various styles of hip-hop highly sought after (breaking, popping, locking, nu-skool, nu-jack etc).
• We are looking for PERFORMERS
• Independence - Ability to travel to and from rehearsals and availability to rehearse late nights during the week from 9pm till late (rehearsals mainly at Unitd Styles).
• Last but not least, sociable people and willingness to contribute
